ECO grants are funded by the energy suppliers who are amongst the biggest polluters in the United Kingdom. To tackle the problem the Government has set up an initiative which places strict carbon reduction targets on all major energy suppliers.
Energy suppliers are able to off-set their targets by investing in energy efficiency measures like insulation.
Insulation prices are increasing along with energy bills. Grants for insulation enable qualifying homes to have their insulation fitted 100% free.
Don’t stress! You may be eligible for funding through the Government’s Green Deal.
Insulating your home is free if you are on qualifying benefits or in selected areas. To find out if you qualify use our grant wizard and we will check for you.
Insulating your home could save you hundreds of pounds by reducing your energy bill. Energy bills are getting more and more expensive. Don’t pay to heat the street!
Power saving in the home improves energy efficiency and reduces harmful carbon emissions. A green home is an environmentally friendly home.
Home insulation is aimed at reducing heat loss in a property. Insulating a property reduces energy bills by making the home more energy efficient. Energy efficient green homes produce less harmful carbon emissions.
The following are the three main types of insulation -
Loft insulation materials and installation are covered by a 25 year guarantee and is effective for at least 40 years.
25% of a property’s heat escapes through the roof. Loft insulation is a wooly material that is rolled out in the loft which acts like a blanket, preventing the loss of heat.
35% of a property’s heat escapes through uninsulated walls. After the 1930′s most properties were built with a cavity between the external walls. Cavity wall insulation is a special material that is injected into the external walls of a property. The cavity material fills the cavity and acts as a blanket, insulating the property and preventing heat loss.
Cavity materials and installation are covered by a 25 year guarantee.
Solid wall or external wall insulation is achieved by fixing a layer of material to the external wall. The layer is then covered with a special type of render or cladding.
Just about any type of external wall pattern can be matched.
